Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information MoneyPlant ("we") collects when you use moneyplantbd.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We follow Bangladesh's Personal Data Protection Ordinance 2025.

What we collect

If you only browse

• Your theme choice (light, dark or automatic), stored in your own browser. It never reaches us.
• Standard server logs: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. Our servers record these to keep the site running and secure.

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you across other websites.

If you create an account

• Your mobile number, your email address, or both: whichever you give us.
• Your name, if you give it.
• Your password, stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form that we can't read.
• When you created the account and last signed in.

When you sign in, we place a cookie in your browser that keeps you signed in. It's needed for your account to work and isn't used for anything else.

If you send us a report or message

Your message, the page you sent it from and, if you give it, your email address so we can reply.

Why we use it

• To run your account and let you sign in.
• To answer your messages and fix mistakes you report.
• To keep the site secure, for example by limiting repeated sign-in attempts.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it with banks. If we later offer a way to apply to a bank through MoneyPlant, we'll ask for your permission each time before sending your details to that bank, and we'll update this policy first.

We use service providers to host the site and its data. They may only use your information to provide that service to us. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Account details: until you delete your account or ask us to.
• Reports and messages: as long as we need them to deal with what you raised.
• Server logs: for a limited period, for security.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct information that's wrong;
• delete your account and your information;
• stop using your information where you'd given permission.

Keeping it safe

Passwords are stored hashed, the site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it.

Children

MoneyPlant is for adults. Please don't create an account if you're under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll tell account holders before they take effect.
